Motion translation refers to the movement of a body typically via a powered and predictable means. For instance an automobile's purpose is to go forward and propel itself and its cargo safely, thus realizing motion translation. Rockets and thrusters for aerospace applications use conservation of momentum concepts to provide thrust thereby enabling motion translation of the space vehicle they are attached to. "Good News Mars and Company" is a paper on momentum physics and propulsion.
